INTRODUCTION It is a big universe and this leads many people to think that there must be life outside of our own planet. While this is not necessarily true, this Webquest analyzed some of the most resilient lifeforms on Earth that can live and thrive in some very hostile conditions. These "alien lifeforms" open up the window in which life outside of earth can be thought to plausibly exist.

TASK: Navigate through a web application on alien-earth life forms and answer provided questions. Create a six slide powerpoint presentatio summarizing the Safari App and include your conclusion. The rubric below tells you what the ppt should include.

PROCESS: Go to the Alien Safari Planet Quest app and answer the following questions.

1) Name the six strange life forms covered and descibe the hostile conditions in which they live.

2) Describe what each one means for Life in the Universe

3) Choose one of the Lifeforms and do a bit of extra research on it and descibe it in 2-3 paragraphs (history, discovery, science, etc).

CONCLUSION: Summarize the results of your quest and describe the types of harsh conditions some life forms can thrive in. As a further application of this webquest, are there any other planets with similar conditions fitting the ranges found in this webquest?
